Helping Communities Discover Purpose, Direction, and Possibility
About EPICS Community Pathways, Inc.
EPICS Community Pathways, Inc. was created to make career discovery more accessible, welcoming, and human-centered.
Many people need more than a list of jobs. They need a safe and encouraging place to reflect, explore, and begin again.
Through libraries, schools, workforce programs, and community partnerships, we provide tools and programs that help people move from uncertainty to possibility.
Founder
Karen Anderson-Fignon is the Founder of EPICS: A Different Kind of Career Exploration. As a Licensed Clinical Art Therapist and career exploration specialist, Karen developed EPICS to help individuals use visual, intuitive, and reflective tools to better understand who they are and where they thrive.
Her work supports students, career changers, older adults, job seekers, English language learners, and underserved communities.
We partner with public libraries, school libraries, workforce agencies, and community organizations to bring engaging tools, workshops, and guided activities to people seeking confidence, clarity, direction, and action.

A safe space to reflect
Many people need more than a list of job titles. They need a supportive environment to understand where they naturally thrive. By partnering with local libraries and school systems, EPICS meets individuals exactly where they are.
EPICS starts with the person first. Validates and acknowledges what they know about themselves, building the confidence to take the next steps, no matter where they are in their life journey.
Our visual tools bypass the anxiety of traditional testing. Through the unique, intuitive Image Attraction Quiz, we help participants identify their core strengths and build the confidence required to take action.
From uncertainty to certainty
Founded to bridge the gap in traditional career guidance, EPICS Community Pathways began with a simple observation: dry, text-heavy assessments alienate the people who need guidance most. We set out to design a visual, intuitive pathway that respects every individual's unique starting point.
Today, we operate as a community-embedded nonprofit. By equipping libraries, schools, and workforce agencies with visual career tools, we turn local hubs into launchpads for personal growth and concrete career action.
Confidence > Clarity >
Direction > Action.
