Clear pathways to visual career discovery
We partner with local libraries, schools, and workforce agencies to replace dry aptitude tests with engaging, image-based exploration tools.
We replace sterile standardized tests with intuitive, image-driven tools that build immediate confidence.
Traditional career guidance often feels like an exam. Our human-centered approach meets people exactly where they are, using visual attraction to uncover natural strengths and environments where they can truly thrive.
Three Tailored Pathways
We bring structured visual tools directly into trusted local hubs, serving job seekers, career changers, and students.

Professional Development
Workforce & Community
Libraries are often trusted community spaces where people seek guidance during periods of uncertainty, transition, and change. Staff regularly support patrons who are exploring careers, returning to work, pursuing education, navigating retirement, or simply searching for a greater sense of purpose and direction. By engaging with EPICS personally, staff develop a deeper understanding of the career exploration process while building empathy, confidence, and practical experience with the tools patrons will use.
EPICS Professional Development for Staff provides a supportive, reflective experience that helps participants better understand their own strengths, interests, preferred work environments, values, and personal motivators. Through guided exploration and meaningful reflection, staff gain insights into what energizes them, what contributes to workplace satisfaction, and how they can create greater alignment between their work and well-being.
Many individuals seeking workforce services are navigating significant life transitions. They may be changing careers, re-entering the workforce, exploring educational opportunities, recovering from setbacks, adjusting to disability, transitioning from military service, returning after incarceration, or simply trying to determine their next step. Our program helps participants better understand themselves before making important educational, employment, and life decisions.

Public & School Libraries
Empowering Libraries. Inspiring Patrons & Students. Strengthening Communities.
Public libraries have become essential community hubs where people come not only for information, but for guidance, connection, learning, and support during life's transitions. Whether patrons are exploring careers, returning to work, considering education and training opportunities, planning retirement, or seeking a renewed sense of purpose, libraries are uniquely positioned to help.

Using a visual, image-based approach, students discover their strengths, interests, and preferred environments without the pressure of traditional assessments. EPICS aligns with college- and career-readiness goals, encourages self-reflection, and helps students make meaningful connections between who they are and their future educational and career pathways. Because it is self-directed, easy to navigate, and suitable for diverse learners, EPICS provides school librarians with a practical tool to help students build confidence, self-awareness, and direction for their future.

Supporting Library Staff
Life seems to be overwhelming and stressful a lot of the time. Everyone's "to-do" list seems to get longer, andit's hard to fit it all in sometimes. We at EPICS realize the last thing a librarian wants is another "thing" to do. We try to take some of the pressure off you with ready-made posts, articles, and suggestions that are easy to implement. We welcome suggestions too!
EPICS recognizes that staff benefits from self-discovery as well. Through professional development experiences, library employees gain greater awareness of their own strengths, workplace preferences, values, and motivators while experiencing the program from a patron's perspective.
This helps staff:
Build confidence introducing career resources
Strengthen empathy and patron engagement
Support reflective conversations
Enhance workplace well-being and self-awareness
Better understand the challenges patrons face during times of transition
Create a culture of lifelong learning within the library

The EPICS Difference
Many individuals enter workforce programs to find a job. EPICS helps them first understand themselves.
When people gain confidence in who they are, what they value, and the environments where they thrive, they are better prepared to make decisions that lead to meaningful employment, continued learning, and sustainable career pathways.
The goal is not simply placement—it is helping individuals build lives and careers that align with their strengths, interests, and potential.
Professional Development
Supporting Ourselves First, So We Can Better Support Others
Before we can confidently guide others through career exploration, life transitions, and personal growth, it is valuable to experience the journey ourselves. By engaging in self-reflection and exploring our own strengths, values, and aspirations, we gain deeper insight, empathy, and understanding that enable us to better support those we serve.
EPICS Professional Development provides a supportive, reflective experience that helps participants better understand their own strengths, interests, preferred work environments, values, and personal motivators. Through guided exploration and meaningful reflection, staff gain insights into what energizes them, what contributes to workplace satisfaction, and how they can create greater alignment between their work and well-being.
Libraries are often trusted community spaces where people seek guidance during periods of uncertainty, transition, and change. Staff regularly support patrons who are exploring careers, returning to work, pursuing education, navigating retirement, or simply searching for a greater sense of purpose and direction. By engaging with EPICS personally, your staff will develop a deeper understanding of their own career exploration process while building empathy, confidence, and practical experience with the tools patrons will use.
This professional development experience encourages participants to:
Increase self-awareness and confidence
Identify strengths, interests, and preferred work environments
Reflect on workplace satisfaction and personal well-being
Recognize factors that contribute to stress, burnout, and fulfillment
Explore work-life balance and personal motivators
Strengthen their ability to support patrons through reflective conversations
Experience EPICS from the participant perspective before facilitating it for others
The result is twofold: staff gain valuable insights that support their own professional growth and well-being, and become more comfortable and effective in introducing EPICS resources to patrons.
When staff experience the power of self-discovery firsthand, they are better equipped to foster meaningful conversations, encourage exploration, and help community members move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and hope.
Because career exploration is not only for patrons—it is a lifelong journey for all of us.
